The Toys are back with a new adventure in “Toy Story of Terror!” on Blu-ray + Digital Copy, DVD, Digital HD, and Disney Movies Anywhere August 19th. They pick up from “Toy Story 3” with Bonnie and her mom on a road trip that leads to some spooky happenings at a roadside motel. Buzz, Woody and rest of our favorite toys voiced by the original cast encounter a new friend Combat Carl (Carl Weathers) to solve a mystery after one of the toys goes missing. The detail of the horror movie the toys are watching in the car is spot on for an old timey scare. It also helps to set up the story with the thunderstorm that is taking place and it isn’t too over the top for the little ones. Mr. Pricklepants cracks me up with his staging of what happens next in a horror film since he is the master of the theater. Disney•Pixar hits it out of the park again with this witty tale. A fun feature that I loved on the Blu-ray is the Vintage Toy Commercials that reminded me so much of Saturday morning cartoons as a child. They were so entertaining and realistic. [...]
